Who am I
My Name
Ferlicius is my name, uniquely since I was born, in my national ID as well as passport. I have no relation to Fergie’s Fegielicious, no deny that I like their songs sometimes. I have been occupying the email addresses from all famous email clients. No, please don’t try to send me email and sell me stuffs or ask for money, I seriously won’t entertain.
My Ethnicity
I am a Malaysia born Chinese, but people tend to ask me about my real ethnicity and nationality. I thought I look 100% Chinese from the mainland, no? For some people, they would say I don’t look like a Chinese but mixed; or asking me if I were Thai/Indon where they speaks the languages to me while some friends thought I am not locally born in Malaysia, they have doubt on my nationality. For your information, Malaysia is a multiracial country. My grand generations are mixed blood, till my generation is considered as a Chinese, like 80% of it, in the national identical ethnicity group, “Chinese” is the only selection.
My Family
Daddy was a baker and owned few bakery shops back in the town where I spent my childhood - Seremban. He is now retired and too bad I am not as talented as him, else I would have happily manage and continue the family business by not working as a slave for my employer. We have got secret recipe from dad
and my sis is trying to learn up at home, since she’s now a full time mummy at home! One day I hope, will take up the initiatives and work on the recipies! I gonna set up a website for both my parents, to promote their recipies and the new innovations from my sis, free? Not known yet. Psss… they were the champions in few national competions in the 80’s.
Mum used to be a tailor, and she tailored made her own wedding gown, it’s now still in the wardrobe. I hope she’s not keeping for me. Now she is retired and learn to be a Chinese Physicians. She plants some herbs at home, cook us the herbs soup and dishes whenever we visit home. She also does accupuntual in a Physician clinic and sometimes when she is free, she does that at the old folks home as charity.
I am proud of my parents who brought us up in their own ways. They are strict with bamboo stick (yeah like whose parents do not?) but open minded and modern at most time (and again, whose parents do not?) - I could never find a word to describe how great and special they are to us. Both of them do charity whenever they could and afforded. They take care of them at the old folks home, especially during festival, mum will cook a big wok of Nyonya dishes for them while dad will bake pastries.
I am close to my siblings, and the elder generation taught us to be. Siblings should stay together and connected all times, no matter where they are and who they have married to and what life they are having now.
